Wedding DJ at Parklands Quendon Hall

Choosing a DJ is one of those decisions that feels easy until you realise how much is riding on it. The right DJ reads the room, builds the energy at the right pace and keeps people on the floor all night. The wrong one clears it by ten o'clock and leaves you wondering what went wrong.

I'm George. I've been a professional DJ for over 25 years, starting out in nightclubs and building my career playing residencies in the UK and abroad. I'm an open format DJ which means I can take a room anywhere, from Reggae to House, Disco to Hip Hop, Pop to Chill-out, reading exactly where the crowd wants to go next. Every set is live, by ear, built around what the room is telling me.

Before your day we'll talk properly. Not a quick email exchange, a real conversation. Your music, your guests, the songs that mean something to you both. I take all of that seriously because it shapes everything I do on the night.

When I set up in your venue, the transformation is immediate. QSC speakers delivering crystal clear sound, Pioneer decks and mixer playing lossless audio so every track sounds exactly as it should. A large white DJ booth flanked by illuminated plinths and speaker stands, all wrapped in white silk scrims with uplights glowing inside. Moving heads on the plinths and overhead rig, with the American DJ Starburst scattering colour and light across the whole room. For couples who want to go further, I also offer wireless uplighting to transform the entire room. Everything PAT tested and fully insured to £1 million PLI.

I always arrive early and dress smartly for every event.

FAQs

Q: Can you bring a Magic Mirror photo booth to Parklands Quendon Hall?

A: Yes. My package includes a full backdrop, props table, red carpet, personalised prints and a guest book. In a venue as grand as Parklands it creates a brilliant extra focal point for guests throughout the evening.

Q: The venue can hold up to 500 guests. Can your setup handle a large crowd?

A: Yes. My QSC KW system is built to handle large spaces and I've played to crowds of all sizes over 25 years. The bigger the room and the bigger the crowd, the more energy there is to work with.

Q: We're expecting around 150 to 200 guests. Can you handle a crowd that size?

A: That's exactly what I do. My background is in clubs and creating genuine dancefloor energy is what I'm built for. Tell me what kind of night you want and I'll make it happen.

Q: How do you manage a crowd with guests from very different age groups and backgrounds?

A: Being open format is the answer. Over 25 years I've built a library spanning every decade and genre imaginable. Reading the room and blending them so everyone ends up on the floor at the same time is one of my favourite parts of the job.
