Wedding DJ at The Farmhouse at Redcoats

The Barns at Redcoats just won Best Barn Wedding Venue in the East of England at the Wedding Industry Awards 2026. That tells you everything you need to know about the standard couples can expect here. Grade II listed 18th century barns, an outdoor ceremony space by the old grain store, the Cowshed Bar, wildflower meadow, farm to fork food. It's a genuinely special venue and the reviews back that up every time.

When you're getting married somewhere this good you need suppliers who match it. That's where I come in.

I'm George. 25 years as a professional DJ, from clubs and residencies abroad through to years of weddings across Hertfordshire and London. I know how to deliver an evening that feels as good as everything else about the day. That starts well before the night itself with a proper planning conversation where we go through your music, your guests and the exact kind of evening you want to create.

On the night I take care of everything. QSC speakers, Pioneer decks, American DJ lighting with moving heads and uplighting including a mirror ball that looks stunning under historic beams. All PAT tested, fully insured to £1 million PLI and always dressed smartly.

FAQs

Q: Can you bring a Magic Mirror photo booth to The Farmhouse at Redcoats?

A: Yes. My package includes a full backdrop, props table, red carpet, personalised prints and a guest book. In a venue as characterful as the Barns at Redcoats it creates a brilliant focal point and fits perfectly with the relaxed, fun atmosphere the venue is known for.

Q: The Barns have a really distinctive rustic feel. Does your lighting complement that?

A: Absolutely. I always adapt the lighting to the venue. In a barn setting warm uplighting, festoon style effects and a mirror ball working together with the existing beams and fairy lights creates something genuinely beautiful. I've done it many times and it always looks incredible.

Q: We want the evening to feel like a natural continuation of the whole day rather than a sudden shift in gear. Can you do that?

A: That's exactly the right way to think about it. I'll keep the energy building gradually rather than going all in from the off. Background music during drinks, something that lifts for dinner, then a proper build into the evening. It makes the whole night feel seamless.

Q: How far in advance should we get in touch?

A: As early as possible, summer Saturdays in particular go quickly. That said I take bookings at shorter notice when I'm available so it's always worth a call even if your date is coming up soon.
