Wedding DJ at Sopwell House

Sopwell House is one of those venues where the standard is set the moment guests walk through the door. A luxury country house hotel in St Albans, it's hosted some seriously impressive weddings over the years and couples who choose it expect everything to match up. The food, the rooms, the service and yes, the music.

I'm George and matching that standard is exactly what I do.

25 years as a professional DJ. Clubs in the UK and abroad, corporate events, private parties and weddings throughout Hertfordshire and London. I know how to perform at a venue like Sopwell House without the setup looking out of place or the music feeling like it belongs somewhere else. Everything I bring is professional grade and everything I do is prepared properly in advance.

We'll speak properly before your day. Not a brief email with a playlist attached, a real conversation about your wedding. How you want the evening to flow, the music that matters to you both, the guests you want on their feet. I take all of that seriously because it's the difference between a good night and a great one.

QSC speakers, Pioneer decks, American DJ lighting rig with moving heads and uplighting, all PAT tested, fully insured to £1 million PLI. Always there early, always dressed smartly, always ready before your first guest arrives.

St Albans is a short drive from Broxbourne so Sopwell House is easy territory for me.

FAQs

Q: Can you add a Magic Mirror photo booth to our Sopwell House wedding?
A: Yes and it fits beautifully into a venue like Sopwell House. My package includes a full backdrop, props table, red carpet, personalised prints and a guest book. Guests of every age love it and it adds real energy to the evening alongside the DJ.

Q: Sopwell House is a well established venue. Will they accept an external DJ?

A: Most luxury venues including Sopwell House welcome external suppliers. It's always worth confirming with your wedding coordinator but in my experience couples regularly bring their own DJ without any issue.

Q: We want the evening to feel upmarket, not like a typical wedding disco. Can you deliver that?

A: Absolutely. The way I set up, the music I choose and the lighting I use all reflect the quality of the venue. I'm an old school DJ who plays with taste and reads the room properly. You won't get a cheesy wedding disco from me.

Q: How far in advance do you need our music preferences?

A: Ideally a few weeks before the day so I have plenty of time to prepare and source anything specific you want. But the earlier we speak the better, even if your music choices aren't finalised yet.
