Wedding DJ at St Michael's Manor Hotel

St Michael's Manor is a boutique hotel in every sense of the word. Intimate, beautifully presented, five acres of private lake gardens right in the heart of St Albans. It's not the kind of venue that suits a DJ who just shows up and presses play. It calls for someone who pays attention, reads the room and understands that subtlety and quality matter just as much as volume. That's exactly how I work.

I'm George. Over 25 years as a professional DJ, from club nights abroad to weddings across Hertfordshire and London. I'm old school in my approach — no sync buttons, no auto mix, just genuine skill and a deep understanding of how music moves people. I build sets that flow naturally and respond to what's actually happening in the room rather than what was planned six weeks ago.

For your wedding at St Michael's Manor I'll want to understand your evening properly before the day arrives. The music that means something to you, the mood you want to create, the guests who need a nudge to get up and those who won't need any encouragement at all. That conversation shapes everything I do on the night.

QSC speakers, Pioneer decks, lossless audio files, American DJ lighting with moving heads and uplighting. All PAT tested, fully insured to £1 million PLI, always dressed appropriately.

I'm based in Broxbourne and St Albans is right on my doorstep so early arrival is never a question.

FAQs

Q: St Michael's Manor is quite intimate. Can you scale your setup accordingly?

A: Absolutely. I tailor the setup to the space every time. A smaller, more intimate venue actually benefits enormously from getting the sound levels right and I'll position everything so the music fills the room perfectly without overwhelming it.

Q: Can you add a Magic Mirror photo booth to our wedding at St Michael's Manor?

A: Yes. My photo booth package includes a full backdrop, props table, red carpet, personalised prints and a guest book. Even in a more intimate setting it works brilliantly and gives guests of all ages something they genuinely love.

Q: We're quite particular about music taste. Will you stick to what we ask for?

A: Always. If you give me a direction I'll follow it and stay within it. The planning conversation we have beforehand means I know exactly what you want and what you don't. I won't go rogue on your wedding night.

Q: Do you work well with other suppliers on the day?

A: Yes. I'm used to working alongside venue coordinators, photographers, toastmasters and other suppliers. I'll introduce myself, get the timeline sorted early and make sure everything fits together properly so the day runs smoothly.
